I'm Clare Ostrander, a licensed counselor in Ann Arbor. I help adults with anxiety, and with the big changes that shake it loose: a move, a breakup, a new job, a new baby, a loss.

You might be the one everyone thinks has it together. Inside, you replay conversations at 2am, brace for the next thing to go wrong, or feel like the ground moved and nobody noticed.

I work with adults 18 and up. I don't see couples or children, and I'll point you to someone good if that's what you need.

How it works

1. A free 15-minute call. You tell me a little about what's going on. I tell you how I work. No pressure either way.
2. A first full session. We get the bigger picture and set one or two goals that matter to you.
3. Weekly or every other week. In my office or by video, whichever fits your week. Many people come for 3 to 6 months.

Fees and insurance

Payment by card or HSA/FSA card. Cancel up to 24 hours ahead at no charge.

Insurance: I'm in network with two local plans. Tell me yours on the free call and I'll check it while we talk. For other plans I'm out of network, and I give you a monthly receipt (a superbill) to send in for possible reimbursement.
