Questions, answered

The things parents and adult students ask most. Anything else, call (555) 555-0126.

How young can my child start?

Piano and violin from age 5, guitar from 7, drums from 8, voice from 9. For ages 4 to 6 our Little Notes group class is a gentle first step.

Am I too old to start?

No. About a third of our students are adults, and our oldest beginner started piano at 71.

What if we miss a lesson?

Tell us 24 hours ahead and we'll book a make-up the same month. Teacher cancellations are always made up or credited.

Are there recitals?

Two a year, in December and June. They are optional and relaxed, and everyone plays one short piece.

How do I cancel?

Email or call before the 20th and the next month won't be billed. No fees and no hard feelings.

Do you offer scholarships?

Yes. Families can pay on a sliding scale based on what fits their budget. Ask at the front desk, there is a one-page form and we never ask for tax papers.

Do we need our own instrument?

Not for the first month. We have instruments in every room. After that you'll want one at home for practice, and we'll help you find a good used or rental one.
